According to foreign media reported on April 24, Intel today revealed to the outside world its second largest solar car plan. The plan shows that when the sun is directly on the panel, you can power about 2,000 households at once. At the same time, the solar panel can accommodate about 3,000 parking spaces. Intel has reportedly installed a solar panel at Chandler's Ocotillo campus, which is the state's largest solar vehicle. When the panel is exposed to direct sunlight, the solar panel capacity of up to 7.7 MW or so.
7.7 MW means a one-time power supply for about 2,000 households. At the same time, the site can accommodate about 3,000 parking spaces.
The project is said to be the largest of its kind in the same study, second only to the 18 MW installed capacity of the Bagdad mine in Arizona (the territory of a public relations service company).
At the same time, the project can produce about 13 million kilowatts / hour of electricity, which is sufficient to meet the energy needs of 1000 families each year. Intel had promised to double its green power plant in 2015, and the results are only part of the promise that year.
At present, the United States California and Europe, the Intel campus (The Santa Clara) all 100% green. According to Marty Sedler, Intel's director of global utilities and infrastructure, the company also produces energy plans at various campus locations around the world.
